Situated at the IRCM in Montreal, our team studies the biological functions of RNA subcellular localization and how these processes are altered in disease settings. Our lab is affiliated with two of Canada’s top research universities, the University of Montreal (Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Medicine) and McGill University (Division of Experimental Medicine), offering a diverse and multi-disciplinary training environment.

Please browse our website to learn about our team and research interests.

> May 2022.

Happy to announce that Eric will be discussing our work in a session on ‘Revolutionizing healthcare with the potential of RNA’ at the Effervescence 2022 event.

> May 2022.

We wish a warm welcome to Julie Cardin, who recently joined out team as a bioinformatics analyst. Welcome Julie!

> April 2022.

We are excited to welcome a new research associate to the lab, Dr. Catherine Ménard. Bienvenue Catherine!

> March 24th, 2022.

Congratulations to Dr Ashley Chin, who successfully defended her thesis!

> January 2022.

We are happy to announce that the Lécuyer lab was recently awarded CIHR project grants to study 1) the importance of mRNA localization for mitosis regulation, and 2) the mechanisms of cellular toxicity induced by repeat RNAs associated with different neurodegenerative disorders.
